"Alright, now let's talk about setting your snare when you're making an east coast beat. A lot of times it's just like any other song, the snare is going to be on the two and the four, a lot of songs have, they have like eight measure loops, like it's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, and what you want to do is set the snare usually on the two and the four, it's like one, two, three, four, one, snare, three, snare, one, snare, three, snare. Those are good examples for setting the snare on east coast beats, but sometimes like I said, that's typical but that's not the norm, you can go kick, snare, snare, kick, snare, kick, snare, snare, kick, snare, there's many different ways you can do it but most of the time the snare is landing on the two and the four. So what you want to do is get in there, play with it, but you know, put it on the two and four, if you want to change it up, start changing it up, you can add more snares, you can add less snares, but these are just some typical things, you can add you know, usually add a snare on the two and the four, I'm going to take you to the beat so you can hear a little example of that.
