"Slick rock! Why do they call it slick rock? It's not that slick! It's got beautiful cross bedded planes that give you a little friction. You just need to trust your boots and trust gravity. When your walking on a side hill it is a good idea to keep your stick on the downhill side. That's where it's going to do you some good even if it's not your primary hand. So I'm not a left hander but when I'm walking this way. I'll switch it to my left hand. For going downhill you may not even need your stick. You just need to keep your feet flat on the ground. Take little steps stay in contact with the rock. Keep your weight over your feet. Flex your knees a little bit. Head on down. You can go down a much steeper incline that this just fine."
