"It's me again, and now we're going to go over supplies. Let's go over some supplies. Electrical tape, I know you smart alecs out there are going to say, why would you use electrical tape? That's shoddy. I'm not using electrical tape on the connections, I'm using electrical tape over these terminal connections. And you're going to say, well, if you didn't crimp well enough then why would you still do that? Well, first of all, when you take this terminal connection, put in a wire crimp and you pull real hard, yeah, if you crimped it right it will stay on. I just like to put the electrical tape over the edge of the wire to the jacket so it makes, it has even continuity, it has even jacket coverage and insulation from the speaker wire to the terminal. Not all of you may agree with me on that, but I like it for sound quality, it keeps an ambient ground noise, and all the other interference that you might pick up through the woofer to a minimum. And it looks cleaner. Screws. We use them for many things, and, these look like your standard sheet-rock, and drywall screws. They are. That's what we use to load enclosures with. And finally again, speaker terminals. You've probably seen these two or three times already. What does this color mean? This means fourteen to sixteen gage. Now there are some oddball terminal connectors that don't follow the standard twelve color code, but these are for anything between fourteen to eighteen to twenty gage wire, and they go up correspondingly to the larger gage wire, yellow, red, green, blue. Blue. And one more thing. The speaker terminal cup. This truck enclosure just has a press tight, not a screw in or a press down like you've seen, because most flat or shallow woofers don't have a lot of power, so they figure they won't require a whole lot of big size wire either."
