"Hi, this is Sean Hobson, and what we're talking about right now is how to become the best fundamental defensive player that you can possibly be. Our focus right now is in the post. How to defend the post. There's several ways you can defend a post, and again a lot of this comes back to knowing your particular player. If this post player is very strong on the right side, and he likes to catch the ball, and he likes to drop step to the baseline, one thing we're going to try to do with our defense is take that away from him. So what we're going to have our defender do--go ahead and post up here--we're going to have our defender play defense here by stepping his front foot around the front. Go ahead and step your foot around his front. No, the other foot. Yes, there you go. Because we want to have a defense on the full front side, so that we can keep this guy that's feeding it--we can keep him completely out of it, all right. What happens is it becomes a war. If this guy takes his foot and re-steps around to re-post, then what our defensive guy has to do is keep stepping. And sometimes you'll see players do this for five minutes, trying to fight for position. Now, go up to the top side. If his favorite move is he likes to catch it and he likes to go to the middle, then we want to take the middle away by having him step around to the front side, so that he doesn't do that move. And the same thing. You've got to figure out your post player on the left side. We played one in particular team where they had a dominant post player that liked to drop step to the left, so we played him strong to the one side, and took that left drop step away. You've got to know your player, and that's a particular way--two ways, that you can defend the post from playing behind the player."
