"Gold... a pot of gold. Another game you can play at your St. Patrick's Day party is a great game I called Finding the Pot of Gold. This is fun for all ages, be you two, twelve, twenty-two, and on up. Basically, the game works as follows: you'll need to have a pot--something you can serve as your pot of gold, and you'll also need to have chocolate medallions therein. What you basically do is, before your party starts, you hide some of these chocolate medallions in different places. Some of them will be easy to find, other ones will be harder to find. You'll basically string these throughout the areas of your house you're comfortable with people searching in. Making sure to outline or eliminate certain parameters in the search is very important, if you don't want them going through your china cabinet, say so right from the get-go. At some place in your house, you're actually going to have the pot of gold. The challenge for your guests is to find as many of the medallions as they can. Now I also personally like having, or somebody could find a whole lot of medallions and not find the pot of gold and still win. Right towards the conclusion of the party or when the party's at it's peak, you'll basically say "Okay everybody, hold up your chocolate medallions, or just normal gold plastic medallions... how many do you have?" And then we're basically going to compare, and whoever has the most is the winner and can have some nice commemorative gift, maybe even the pot itself, whatever you like. But it's a nice little fun, low-key scavenger hunt to have in your own home."
