"Watercolor can be, you can create watercolor paintings using a number of different tools besides just paint and brushes. One of the tools that I use is I actually use a slide projector in setting up my pieces and we'll talk a little bit about that later. I also use some things that you may not expect. A piece of sand paper depending on the effect that you want you would use a heavy grit or a finer grit and you can experiment with that. I would use a shammy. A little leather shammy here and I use that for different effects in my paintings as well. One of the fun things I like to use is a toothbrush which obviously not one that you use on a daily basis. So keep it away in your painting supplies so you don't get it mixed up, but I use a toothbrush for a lot of different effects as well. There's, you can use metal foil. You can use gold or silver foiling and that's a technique that can be a lot of fun to use as well. You can use a type of a white paint to pull out particular, in my case when I paint horses I'll use white paint a lot for the little tiny horse hairs. So there are a lot of different tools that you can use with watercolor and you can really have a lot of fun doing it."
