"I'm going to show you all the things that you are going to need for your survival kit that has to do with hunting. So right here, first off, I have safety pins. I carry four or five of these safety pins, you can use these for a number of different things. You can use them to mend clothing, you can use them as fish hooks, which are perfect and that's what I like to do. The only problem is they don't have a little barb that would get caught in the gills but these will work though, if you have to. Also, I have fish hooks, these are in this little bag right here and it also has a little sewing needle that I keep on there as well. Next, I have some fishing line, this is some black fishing line, it's some thread that's about twenty, thirty pound thread. I like to keep this, just in case I need to go fishing, this is a good strong cable. And you'll notice I have it around a nail. The reason I have this nail here is because when you're out in the wilderness you can use a nail for a lot of different reason. I keep all my threads on nails, such as these, because if you're going to build a shelter I can nail it down into the ground instead of using tent steaks, I can nail into a tree and hold my backpack or my survival kit, so it's always good to have these nails. Right here I have some more cord. This cord is good because you can use it for snare wire, which in one of my other shows. Go ahead and watch it and it'll tell you how to make a perfect snare so we're going to use that to make snare wire. The next thing, here's some actual wire. Say you don't have any safety pins or fish hooks, this wire will substitute just fine. Just double it up, bend it over itself and you can create a little fish hook out of it, that'll work very well, otherwise, you can use this as a snare cable also. Next thing is a knife. A knife works in with everyone of these different survival methods so I want to make sure that you guys remember bring a knife, it's the most important thing to help you out in a survival situation. Next thing is a little sling shot here, I've had this since I was little, these things are so much fun. It's just an elastic band, a little carrier and as soon as you put a rock in that, a little bit of ammo, that's a dangerous weapon so that can help you for hunting small game. I wouldn't try it on a mountain lion because you're going to be in big trouble. Next thing, parachute cable. This parachute cable is really tough, it's actually made for parachutes. This is made to hold a canopy and a guy so this is very strong cable. I like to use this for snares as well, so when you watch my video on snaring, this is what we're going to be using. Also, I like parachute cable because the inside of it, if you pull it out, it's this light cotton, this nylon stuff right here. This is perfect for lighting a fire, it's a little bit of tender that you can get a spark into it and it'll ignite and you can make a fire, which I'll show you in a future episode. Then we have all these small little strands right here, you can pull those out and use it for fishing line, if you don't have fishing lines. So, parachute cable, very good thing to have for hunting. Now that you have everything that you're going to need for hunting, let's move onto the next thing."
