"So you have your paint brush all ready to go, ready to start painting, right, wrong. Take away the paint brush from the wall, put it down to, we need to do some research first. Murals can be complicating and time consuming, and while they're well worth the effort, you need to make sure you know what's going on in the mural first. So, there's a couple things here. First off, go to the aquarium. When were you at the aquarium the last time? They're fun, great for kids, great for families. Go alone, go with a bunch. Aquariums are really great to get an idea of what you may want to have in your mural. Once more, hit the local library. There are lots of good books out there. I mean just really visually rich subjects. Where you can then go in there and research and see all sorts of different things you may want to have in your mural. There are lots of great ideas out there. So, take at least five minutes. Take some time. Do some research as opposed to just starting to draw seaweed and fish on a wall because you're going to be much more happy with the results. They'll be much more rich, interesting, and vary and when you realize how many different marine animal creatures there are out there."
