"Hi. I'm Billy Gent with Bill's Pet Shop. Today we're going to be talking about how to pick the best cage for your child's parakeet. As you can see in our store we have a large selection of bird cages. However, not all are suitable for a child's parakeet. First, you have to be careful. Don't get one with the bar spacing too wide. The bird could get caught in it and get hurt. Second, you don't want to get a cage that's too small, some the spacing is way too large for the parakeet. Some cages just aren't big enough for a parakeet. However, there's some that are almost ideal for a parakeet. This has a number of features that make it great. First and foremost, it's a good sized cage. You want tight spacing, something at least eighteen by eighteen inches for a parakeet. A second nice feature, a removable food and water container, so it, this makes it easy for the child to take care of their pet. Another important feature is a removable tray, so that cleaning's a breeze, that way the parents don't have to do it. And one of my favorite features for a child, another really nice feature is a large door, so it's easy for them to get the bird in and out, without having to try to squeeze them in and out through there. This will be an ideal cage for any parakeet for a child."
