"Now we're going to talk a little bit about draining and flushing. Draining is just that, you're going to take the cap off, open up the petcock valve, led it run on the ground. Flushing, it's usually hooked up to a machine that will push the fluids and contaminants out, like power washing your system where all the crud and salt or rust come out and they'll be able to winterize the cooling system after that. Flushing is something you'd get done at a shop. They have the proper means of disposing whatever contaminants that come out of your cooling system, where at home it will be in your driveway running down the street which could lead to a fine. Flushing, it will be basically, they'll push the contaminants out and it will run through a filter trapping the particles, and they'll keep flushing and flushing until no more particles come out which should leave your cooling system clean."
