"One of the most important things when shooting a puck is to keep your head up. You want to be able to keep your head up so you can see where you are shooting. So, let's say I am coming down on the goalie, you know, if I have my head down, I don't see where the goalie is in position, I'll shoot it and he will make a save. But if I am keeping my head up and the goalie comes out, and I can see where my biggest strengths are to shoot on the goalie. You know, right now, it looks like I got the five hole. If I wanted to I could fake one way, and I would have an open net. But, like if I said, if you have your head down, there's a good chance that you are not going to score. So, it is important that you keep your head up and you kind of look for the common targets, which we will explain in a little bit. Also, you don't always have to keep your head up when shooting a puck. Sometimes, I personally like to, actually, if I am coming down, I will look at a teammate, let's say on a two on one, or two on nothing, and I will just keep my head down. And sometimes the shot might work if you want to trick the goalie, but for the most part you want to keep your head up so you can see where you are shooting."
