"How do you become a DEA agent? A DEA agent, again, is a position whereby it's plain clothes, mostly undercover, and their primary function is they remove all the drugs off the streets of our states. It's a very dangerous position. If you're looking to become a DEA agent my suggestion is you contact, again, the state department and that you pull an application off line and you complete it. Again, be very honest because some of the questions you will see again. Most people, that I know of through my experience in law enforcement, who became DEA agents actually came from other departments and they will hire in-house is what we referred to it as where if you are already certified in law enforcement, they will go ahead and hire you. But it doesn't prevent you from being a person who just graduated from college and that's the field that you would like to get into, from obtaining an application, completing the application, and then going through their testing procedures in order to be hired."
