"In this clip we are going to talk about how to become a detective. A detective is a specialized position or person who again responds to the scene normally after an officer has arrived and determined that an investigative person needs to arrive at the scene to continue on with the investigation. It could be a rape, it could be a robbery, it could be a murder. That person takes a lot of training, specific training, a lot of investigative training and it is a position that you cannot just come in to once you join the police department. You have to put your time on the road, you have to work the road first and put in several years and get the experience it takes and then you would compete for the position but it is a very rewarding position. Because at the end it is you as the detective who is actually solving a crime which could be some loved one that you may or may not know and in the long run you are very thankful for a very hard fought job that you have done in order to solve that crime."
