"How do you join the police department? Each department is very unique in what requirements are required in order to become a police department, join the police department. They're similar, but the best thing to do is contact your local police department, inquire about hiring, if there's any vacancies. You want to make sure that you grab an application. You must fill it out completely, and I can't stress how honest you must be on the application because some of the same questions that you answer on that application, you will see again in the polygraph. And that's how a lot of people are disqualified because they were untruthful when it came to completing the application. Once you've completed the application make sure you attach all the documents. All the documents are required. Driver's license, a copy of your high school diploma, any college credits that you may have. Submit the application after it's been notarized and signed by you. Once the police department has gotten the application they'll review it for accuracy at which time they will contact you and set up an appointment day for you."
