"The pay for a nanny, it's all different with different families. You know, fifteen to twenty dollars an hour. It really is different depending on the income of the family, and how far your drive is, how long your there. I get paid by the hour, so I don't have a salary or anything like that. I would say that the average salary for a nanny for a year is about $30,000 in a year. It also depends on how many clients or kids you have. It can go, and how many hours your working, it can go up to $40,000 $45,000 a year. I think that earning potential with starting out for, you know, is that amount of money and making more, it depends on how well you promote yourself and get yourself new clients or new kids to watch, and what you're willing to do. Because, it's a hard job and it pays well, but you have to be able to put in the time and the effort. So, most of the time if you work for one family, and say it's a baby, then the mom probably wants "Mommy Me" classes and all of our friends have babies the same age. So, if you're good with one family, you're pretty much set, that's how I got all my kids."
