"This is Financial Advisor Patrick Munro talking about the benefits of living cheaply. Well folks we live in inflationary times right now and your pocketbooks are definitely challenged. Being frugal is the word I like to use instead of cheap, is an art form. And if you clip coupons, if you don't go out for dinner and movies and things of that nature and try to take up things in life that, well, they always say, "the best things in life are free". Reading a book, going for a nice walk, and, of course, combining exercise and various things of that nature where you're not spending money per se. You'll see the benefits of that start to accrue in your pocketbook as you move forward and you can spend money then because you'll have money to spend. And of course we live in an instant gratification society in America so living cheaply or living frugally is always a challenge but the rewards are very great as you move forward. If you start young it becomes a habit later in life, and then, of course, your rewards financially will accrue giving you a better quality of life in retirement. This is Patrick Munro talking about the benefits of living cheaply."
