"Hi, my name is Chell Garcia-Trias and I am a modern dance instructor in Austin, Texas. I'm going to show you how to do some arm rolls. To open up your shoulders and add flexibility in your shoulders the way we would do it in modern dance. So if I did these in slow motion, I'm going to reach down with my fingertips and drop my shoulders. And I'm going to reach out, out, out, out, out, out, out. And when I get to the top of my body I'm going to turn my palms to face the other way and reach back, back, back, back, back, back, back, back. Until I come down and turn my palms inside again. So reaching up and out and around. And I'm really dropping my shoulders the whole time. Dropping my shoulders the whole time. Dropping my shoulders the whole time. Trying to keep my upper body not completely motionless but as still as possible. Then I'm going to reach back with them and bring them around. Back and around. And you really want your momentum do this more than anything. And reaching as far as you can, trying to reach your arms, your hands together so you're increasing your flexibility in your shoulder blades. So that's a great way to just do simple arm swings in modern dance."
