"Hi, my name is Chell Garcia-Trias, and I'm a modern dance instructor here in Austin, Texas. I'm going to show you what I like to call a broken handspring in modern dance. So, the way that, that's going to work is I'm going to have my left foot behind my right, if you want you can do it the opposite way but I'm more comfortable doing it this way. I'm going to put my left hand down and then my right, and then I'm going to lift my left hand off the ground while I kick my feet off the ground. If I did it in slow motion, it might look like this. And, I advise you, while you're learning how to do it, to just slide your legs around, instead of trying to bring them up and over really, so just slide those legs around yourself. But, once you start to feel more comfortable, you can do it more quickly and it'll look more like this. And so, that's the way that I would do a broken handspring in modern dance."
