Hi my name is Dan Schmidt from the Chinese Martial Arts Center in Seminole and today we are going to be performing the pressing block side kick combination. With this combination you want to start with the yin and yang grip so have your right palm facing down and your left palm facing up and just stand naturally like this. What you are going to do is with your right hand you are going to pull back and leave your left hand where it is and you are going to come straight over into the corner with the right side of the staff this way head towards the corner. Keep the left hand in and twist your body sideways. From here you are going to pick up your rear leg pick up with the knee and side kick but keep the staff where it is on the floor. So you're here, you're going to pull, smash down to the corner and pick up the knee and kick. Once again you are here, pull, smash and kick. This is how it is used so if he comes in he thrusts at the face. You are going to come over and smack the staff out of the way and from there you are going to come up with the knee, kick straight to the face, kick to the knee or whatever but the face is the best target so when you are here and somebody comes in smack, kick right away. Once more he comes in smack, kick. That's how you perform the pressing block side kick combination.
