"Hello I'm Sifu Mallon with the Clearwater Kung Fu Center. This is my assistant Melissa and this is Kickboxing. The Kickboxing technique we're going to be working is using your rear round kick, mid level. So, it's called Rear Leg Round Kick, Mid-Level. Meaning mid-level, "Melissa pick your arms up", mid-level is hitting between your hip and under your armpit, so mid-body. The technique, I'll perform for you at normal speed, then Melissa will go through at little slower to show you. I can start from my height to put my hand and I'll go with my low guard position for this kick. My forward foot is going to turn out, my rear hip and my rear shoulder are going to lunge forward. Mechanics for this, I'm going to have a slight counterbalance with this. You'll see my right elbow will pull back as I fire the kick out, and land. Again. Now, I pull the elbow back but I don't want the hand to go down, so I don't want to go like this. Okay, this provides you with a very clear opening to your face and you want to keep your hands up. "Melissa come forward, let's go through this a few times". The forward foot turns out and steps, throw the kick, land. Step back and again. Now here, as she does this step, "stay there where you set your foot", she wants actually lift it and put it here, boom. Now fire the kick out, set down. Good. One more. Good. This is called a Rear Leg Round Kick Mid-Level, Kickboxing."
