"Hi my name is Bob Linde and I'm going to show you the next move in the twenty four yang style tai chi set. I've actually been practicing tai chi for about thirteen years now. So we've just finished enjoying our meditative cloud hands three times and we ended with that transitional move called the single whip. So from here we're going to perform a move called high pat on horse. So with this move we put the hands up, we step out in our good tai chi step, and we think of petting the nose of a beautiful horse, putting his head over the fence. So our left hand is down by our belly just a little below our belly button, and our right hand is out petting the horse's nose. So I'll show you that from another direction from here. So we just performed our single whip, hands come up, empty step out, high pat on horse. So there is of course a martial application to this one as well. So we'll get our assistant out here. So we're going to grab his hand as he prepares to punch, we are going to step out and we will be punching below the rib cage right there on the side, maybe snapping a few extra ribs down there of his floating ribs. Or we can do a variety of different techniques in order to strike with that one. So find a good tai chi instructor in your area and enjoy playing tai chi."
