"Hi, my name's Jessica Meiczinger with Simply Devine Events and I've been a wedding planner for over a decade now, and I'm here to talk about some ideas on how to incorporate your beach theme into your ceremony. Some ideas are, my favorite actually, is the sand ceremony. Basically it takes the place of a unity candle. You, instead of doing the large pillar candle in the center, you do just an open container and then on the sides, instead of doing your tapered candles, you actually do two different containers of sand. You can actually get that sand from the beaches where you grew up, or if you're going with a particular color scheme of your wedding you can implement those colors as well. Another idea is as your guests arrive to the ceremony you can have a greeter hand out leis to your wedding guests as they arrive, it's a sign of welcome and greeting them for such a special day. Another option is to do the flower ceremony. Usually this takes place during the ceremony at some point where the officiant invites the bride and groom up to choose a flower and the groom gives it to the bride's mom and the bride gives hers to the groom's mom, and this is just a symbol of bringing two families together and uniting as one. So those are just some of my favorite ideas on how to incorporate your beach theme into your elegant beach wedding ceremony."
