"Ah man, I'm so glad the Stone Temple Pilots got back together. Hi, I'm Marvelous Marvin, professionally trained disc jockey. I've been on the radio for thirty years. I've been a mobile DJ for thirty years and right now, we're talking about the format. Basically in the format, I mean you've already had your meeting with the bride and groom. You've talked about what they want, how they want to do it. And, the format is very important. And most important thing with the format of a wedding reception is, is forward momentum. You want to introduce the bride and groom, bring them in, have them do their dance. And, if they want to do a toast and things like that. You just want to keep things moving along, until you get to the part where they cut the cake, and then you dance. And, the important thing about that is, you do all your formalities up front, maybe take an hour, hour and a half, two hours, and when you dance, a lot of people are going to want to bolt. Especially the older people, they can't take the loud boom, boom, music, or whatever you're playing. And, by the way, the older people, it's always going to be too loud. And they also, they always set up DJ's right in front of the tables where people are sitting. I hate that, but you apologize to people in advance, and then they don't hate you so much. But the format is very important. Everybody needs to be on the same page, and it's what you, the bride and groom have decided upon. And make sure that the person running the room, that you're in, the caterer, also knows the format, so everybody can move it along, and you have a nice, smooth, wedding reception. Forward momentum, you don't want people sitting around wondering what's going to happen next. That will kill any kind of party. So, forward momentum, the format, very important for a wedding reception. Just like a DJ, and that's me and that's you. I'm Marvelous Marvin, and we're talking about the format of the wedding reception."
