"You know consumer fireworks and sparklers can add fun to any holiday event or party. Hi I'm Captain Joe Bruni with over three decades of firefighting and emergency medical service experience. The individual that is a responsible adult assigned to the shooter position of lighting fireworks and sparklers should keep a couple of safety measures in mind. A good fitting of safety glasses should always be worn by anyone that's designated as the responsible shooter. In conjunction with the safety glasses, some type of light leather or clothed glove for hand protection should be used by that individual that is going to light a common consumer sparkler or the common consumer type of fireworks. With this two added safety features in place, the emission of sparks, any type of unsuspecting fire taking place can help to avoid eye injuries and hand injuries which are some of the leading causes of injury during fire work use of holiday events. The type of ignition device like the butane lighter, extended butane lighter torch handle or what other ignition source is used, can heat up significantly from use of lighting fireworks and sparklers. So adding common safety glasses that are good fitting, and light leather or cloth gloves can be additional safety features to keep any fun holiday or party event from turning into tragedy. I'm Captain Joe Bruni stay safe and we will see you next time."
