"You know consumer fireworks that are legal can be a lot of fun at any party or holiday event. Hi, I am Captain Joe Bruni with over three decades of firefighting, hazardous materials and emergency medical response experience. What we're going to talk about is the launch area itself for consumer legal fireworks. The launch area should be an open space away from combustible or flammable materials or buildings. The launch surface should be a flat, dry, level, clean surface. If your using a grassy as your launch site. It may be a good idea to find something like a flat piece of board or wood. Such as this one or even a peace of small plywood. That can be laid on the uneven surface like grass to make a much safer level platform for launching. Uneven surfaces could result in a firework tipping over prior to its ignition. Which could result in a burn injury or blast injury from that type of uneven surface. I'm Captain Joe Bruni stay safe and we'll see you next time."
