"You know, consumer fireworks can add a lot of fun and excitement to any holiday or party gathering. Hi! I'm Captain Joe Bruni with over three decades of firefighting and emergency medical service experience. The common consumer firework that you see before you, are something that are enjoyed by many Americans across the country during every holiday season and varying party events. However, one of the biggest safety factors to keep in mind, is consumer fireworks are meant for outdoor use only. Even the common sparkler is designed and used outdoors only. During inclement weather, fireworks or sparklers should never be taken indoors, places like an open garage, pavilion, tent, gazebo or any other type of out building is never a safe place to operate consumer fireworks because of inclement weather. If the weather is inclement during your party or holiday event do not use consumer fireworks, in this way we can help reduce the chances of burn injuries and fires from occurring. I'm Captain Joe Bruni, stay safe, and we'll see you next time."
