"You know, consumer fireworks can add a lot of fun and excitement during any party or holiday event. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, with over three decades of fire fighting and emergency medical service experience. What we're going to talk about is illegal or altered fireworks. Consumer fireworks, such as those before me, should never be altered or changed in any fashion. Also, keep in mind; homemade fireworks are illegal. Anyone who brings homemade fireworks to any party or gathering should not be permitted to use them. Only consumer fireworks that are approved by the product safety commission should be used. Any type of firework that is altered or homemade becomes a potential life safety issue at any gathering of individuals. If you know of anyone who is making illegal fireworks or altering or building their own, notify your local police department. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe, and we'll see ya' next time."
