"You know, consumer types of fireworks can add fun and excitement to any type of gathering, party, or holiday event. Hi, I'm Captain Joe Bruni, with over three decades of fire fighting and emergency medical service experience. What we're going to talk about is proper extinguishment when using consumer types of fireworks. Consumer types of fireworks, like these fountains, or the common sparkler are currently what most Americans buy for celebrating holidays, gatherings, or parties. It's a good idea to keep some type of garden hose handy and charged, some type of bucket of water that the spent sparkler or firework can be extinguished into, or even the common dry chemical multi-purpose fire extinguisher. Make provisions for some type of extinguishment before the accidents occur. Burn injuries are common, as well as fires across America, from the use of common consumer fireworks. Plan in advance, and have a safe, happy holiday season. I'm Captain Joe Bruni. Stay safe, and we'll see ya' next time."
