"Hello, my name is Officer Mike Roach. I'm with the Utah Department of Wildlife Resources. Today I'd like to talk to you briefly about becoming a game warden in the state of North Carolina. North Caroline requires that you be a U.S. citizen, that you be at least twenty-one years of age and that you're able to pass an extensive background exam. Basically it's a criminal background investigation. Now they also ask that you have a four year degree, a biological science degree in a natural resource related field. You also need to be able to pass a physical exam and a physical test. And you also need to be able to swim. After completing this you, if you get the job, you'll be required to become a peace officer certified in that state and during that you'll get all the extensive training you need to be a law enforcement officer and learn about the laws and other things that are applicable in the state of North Carolina. In the state of North Carolina, you'll be, you'll need to become a peace officer certified in order to be a game warden. You're going to be, go to the Police Academy, where you'll learn how to use different types of weapons, different types of arrest controls.
