"Hello, my name is Office Mike Roach. Currently I work as a Game Warden or Conservation Officer for the State of Utah Department of Wildlife Resources. Today I'd like to talk to you briefly about becoming a Park Ranger. Early on in my career, I spent the first five years of my career working as a Park Ranger for the State of Utah. To become a Park Ranger you need to have, be at least twenty-one years of age. You must also have a Biological Science Degree or a Bachelor's of Science Degree. You must also have some background information or education on natural resources. Part of what you do as a Park Ranger is working within the park setting, making sure that you, making sure that you take care of the resource and you also take care of the park visitors and making sure that they are safe and that the park is in good shape. This requires you to work quite a bit. And a lot of what you do is fairly physically demanding. You also need to be able to talk to park visitors and be able to express your thoughts in both writing and verbally to people so that they can understand what is expected of them. Park Ranger is a very rewarding job and you get to meet a lot of real interesting people and you also get to help take care of our parks."
