"Hi, this is John Stewart, and this is how to balance the weight of your pack for a weekend camping trip. Once you've got everything inside the pack, and secured on the outside, you want to take and try and balance the weight as good as possible. This was started by you packing the pack properly; sleeping bag in the bottom, lighter stuff closer to your back, and a little bit heavier items towards the top. Basically, what you want to do is you want to go through and make sure everything is clipped up on the outside of the pack. Make sure everything is clipped. Once you've got it clipped, you want to take through, and go through and cinch down all the straps nice and tight. This way, you don't have to worry about anything going anywhere; losing stuff on the trail. This is going to be key, because you don't want to have your weight lower to your waist; real high, because it can tip you over if you're walking uphill, downhill; stuff like that. So it's going to make your camping trip a lot more comfortable by having the pack balanced to where it's not loading your right shoulder more than it is your left shoulder. So go through, make sure everything is balanced, strapped down nice and tight, and it'll make it very, very comfortable for you on your weekend trip. This is how to take and balance the weight of your pack for a weekend camping trip."
