"Hi, this is John Stewart and this is how to select and pack your pack cover for a weekend camping trip. Once you've got everything packed up in your pack and strapped down, you're going to want to put a pack cover over the top of it. Pack cover's going to be key for keeping everything dry, it's going to protect it from the elements, but most importantly the rain. You don't want your stuff getting wet so you got to put a pack cover over it. Secondly, a pack cover's going to take and wrap everything up. It's going to blanket everything to where if something does accidentally come loose, the pack cover's going to catch it and it doesn't get dropped on the trail and you leave it behind. You can get two different types of pack covers. You can get some ultra-light ones that pack down really small. They come in a rip stop material. You don't have to worry about them ripping, if they do rip, they're not going to continue to rip, OK? You can get them in heavier duty materials in case you're carrying a lot of weight, and a lot of stuff is strapped on the outside of your pack or the terrain is rougher. If you're hiking in rocky areas, get a little bit tougher pack cover and that way you don't have to worry about it getting bruised and abused, OK? Pack cover is very simple, take it out, unfold it. It's going to have a bungee system on the back of it. Undo everything, get it, there's a clip that's going to go around the back of your pack, but just take, put it over the bottom of your pack, then work your way forward, getting to the top of the pack just to make sure you go over everything. Once you've got it over the top of your pack, flip your pack over. There's going to be a clip that you need to clip so that the pack stays secure. Once you've got your pack cover clipped and secured you don't have to worry about anything from now on. So you can take and head out on your camping trip. So this is how to select and pack your pack cover for a weekend camping trip."
