"I'm Jeanna Rock and we're discussing how to start a Christian book group. If you’re interested in reading Christian writing, the best place to advertise for that group, obviously, would be in your local churches. Quite often they have announcements or bulletins and ask, I would call the church and ask if you could advertise in their bulletin that I'm trying to create a group and get members from that way. Also, don't overlook your own congregation. See if there are people interested in your congregation. Advertise also at the library and in the book store. There are plenty of people that might be interested in reading Christian literature that may not be attending church and you'll want those in your group too. Some writers you might want to consider is C S Lewis, obviously who is one of the greatest Christian writers of our time. Josie Rosenberg also writes some fascinating fiction based on Christian themes as well as Tim LaHaye. You might even consider reading some literature by atheists and comparing that to Christian writing. Philip Pullman has come under a lot of scrutiny right now with his Golden Compass series because of his atheistic ideas about Christianity. I found it fascinating to read that and looking at his religious overtones as well. So, open up your eyes to lots of possibilities within a Christian group and enjoy."
