Video Transcript

"This is Jeanna Rock, and we're discussing how to run a book group. Our book groups start at 7:30, and people start arriving there. We have it in the home of the person who is doing the discussion. And this has changed throughout the years. Sometimes the person hosting it is not the one doing the discussion, but we found it's helpful if the person who's doing the discussion is having it at their home, and they also provide the food. When people come, we've got food set out and everyone just chats with each other, and we eat, and we probably spend an hour just socializing before we actually jump into the discussion. And then finally the person in charge says "Hey, let's discuss the book," and so we all kind of get in our seats and they lead us off with some questions that we begin discussing, and we eat and discuss at the same time, and quite often argue and fight as well, which makes our book group really, really fun and very interesting."
