"Hi, this is John Stewart, and this is how to choose your shelter, or tent for a camping trip. When you decide to go camping, you got to pick the equipment that you're going to use to sleep in. Are you going to sleep in a tent, a hammock, a handmade shelter? Stuff like that. You got several different options. You can go to campgrounds that have cabins, or specific spots to set up your tent on a platform, raised up off the ground, so you can pick a tent. They're a lot roomier. They're more windproof. They're a little bit more bomb proof also, so you can take, and they'll take a beating from the rain, wind, and stuff like that. If you're doing the ultralight thing, you'll probably want to take a hammock. A hammock is very basic, real easy to string in between two trees, really easy to take down. You can get rain flies for hammocks, bug nets for hammocks, straps for hammocks, and it will all be in one tight, compact little bundle, in case you're backpacking. You might also decide that you want to set up a makeshift shelter every night. This could be your poncho-type shelter. Build your own lean-to shelter, or take a tarp or something, to where you can make a ultralight shelter. Other things you can use, is a bivvy. A bivvy slides right over the top of your sleeping bag, and you lay it right on to the ground, and it's waterproof and everything, so you got to choose what type of shelter you're going to choose, for when you're going to camping, and this is how you choose your tents, or shelters for a camping trip."
