This buddy is going to be there in case of emergencies. Several different scenarios you might run into. First off, is morale. You got somebody there that can help you out with things. Setting up your tent, cooking, packing, all that stuff. Your buddy is there, that can help you. They might know more than you, so they're beneficial when it comes to knowledge, and raising your morale. Secondly, and most importantly, is that they're there in case of emergency. Say you get hurt. You can't walk out. They can't carry you out. They can go for help, so that's really nice having them there. They can go for help. They can actually talk with people. They can help get you out, from down in a hole or something. They're there, to where they can help you, so using the buddy system is really key when going camping, and this is how to use the buddy system, when camping."
