"Hi, my name is Mike Quebec and today's subject is how to count calories. When you are counting calories you are keeping track of what you are eating and you are also looking up what you are eating. What they are worth calorie wise. How much calorie is what you are eating is worth. When you are at home, that's usually simple enough because there are labels in most packaged foods. There labeled according to serving so for instance if you where eating let's say a Torino's frozen pizza, the whole pizza is seven ninety eight calories. But that's the whole pizza. They usually say x amount per serving and there is three servings. So usually you have to do the math for foods like that. Rice, white rice, is two forty two a cup as an example. Bread depending on the bread could be from seventy to eighty calories a slice and that's a serving. So it really varies according to the package labels. If you are going to eat out and you are keeping track of your caloric intake, it's usually a good idea to get one of these. This is a calorie count book and you can get these at any bookstore in the health and or fitness section of your bookstore. And it says here for instance, restaurants, Denny's, let's say you wanted to eat a milkshake, you are in a mood for a milkshake, a milkshake at Denny's is about five hundred and ninety calories for the shake. And it would have that listed down in there. So basically you want to keep track of what you are eating and write it down and write down the exact value and if you have to do the math, if you are eating more then one serving, if the package is more than one serving and you're eating the whole package, you do the math, you multiply and adding all of that will give you the amount of calories that you have taken in."
