"Hi, my name is Mike Quebec and we're here to demonstrate the treadmill, how to work out on the treadmill. So I'm going to go ahead and turn my treadmill on. And I'm going to choose the kind of workout that I want to do. Again, choosing, I'm going to choose calories burned. So I'm going to burn about three hundred and sixty calories. I'll go ahead and punch that in. Okay, so basically the idea is to start out at a moderate pace. Once you've done that, oh every minute or so, increase it by one or two percent into, increase the amount of speed as well as resistance. So I can make the resistance a little more. And then after about a minute of that, I might decrease that. After a minute of that, then I'll really increase that and get that going for a couple of minutes, basically getting about as easy run. After about three to five minutes of that, I'll go ahead and decrease that again, and I'm going to vary. Basically you're varying it, slow, medium, fast, slow, medium, fast. That way you're getting your cardio resistance as well as your increasing speed. And that is one way to use the treadmill."
