However, propagating vegetables from plants is a cheap and very effective way of growing vegetables. "Hi. I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Greenthumb. We're going to talk about propagation of radishes. Now radishes are something everybody loves to have in the garden and it's one that you're probably, you're not going to find in a four pack or six pack, you're going to have to plant them directly into the gardening. Now radishes aren't a very big seed. I'm going to kind of rip that package open. I'm going to tell you that radishes are, they're small. They're not very big. See those seeds. Those are tiny. They're maybe, what a sixteenth of an inch, and because they're a sixteenth of an inch you're only going to plant them about that deep. So go ahead and take them, you can kind of just sprinkle them across there if you want. You can just do the whole little package and, you know, if you want to take your finger and put a little dibble and then put it in you can do that, but you don't necessarily have to. You can take it, sprinkle them all over, and if you want to, if you've got a cup of soil, just go ahead and lightly cover them over. Remember you don't want to plant them real deep. You plant them two inches deep, well you may never see that radish come up through it. Remember if a seed starts to sprout, if it gets too dry it dies. So make sure you keep it moist and that's the beauty of the earth box. You'll keep that constant moisture supply up. For On Gardening, I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Greenthumb."
