"For "On Gardening", I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb. Talking about the earth box: Now we've talked about it, it's great technology. We talked about putting a screen into the earth box, and after the screen, we have the filler tube. And the filler tube is important. Why is it important? Well, this is where we put all the water in. You know when you put water on many plants--I'm going to put this over here to the side--when you get ready to put this into the screen, there's a place in the screen for the filler tube. It fits down in here and we put all our water into this filler tube. And the reason it is great is, we have the water coming from the base up. When you put water on top of a foliage of tomato plants and other vegetables, often you get into fungus problems. By using this patented filler tube, we're putting water at the base and watering from the base up. So a lot of folks will say it's kind of hydroponic-like, and it is. We're putting the water here on a daily basis. This holds a reservoir of three gallons of water, and that's important. You need to make sure your plants don't dry out, because then they start to die out. For On Gardening, I'm Stan DeFreitas, Mr. Green Thumb."
