Our next style of vest would be one inspired by the bolero jacket. A bolero jacket, if you're not familiar with it, is like what a matador wears. It's got a certain shape. A certain silhouette makes it able to call itself a bolero. What that silhouette is, is in a vest, obviously a vest is sleeveless, but what it comes from the bolero jacket would have sleeves because it's a jacket, but what makes it such is the collar, the lack thereof, the collar thereof, the neckline of a bolero is going to be always in this shape. It's going to be U shaped. No matter what various things you're going to do on your own to it, a bolero jacket, or a bolero vest, in order for it to call itself that without being a lying piece of fabric is having a U shaped collar. Now another point that has to be there in order for it to be a bolero is a link. The hemline is going to have to sit at a certain point on the ribs. If you've ever seen a matador, that's where it hits. It hits right here. It hits at the rib cage. It's short. That has to there too for it to be a bolero.
