"Alright, now we want to do what is called a wheel wedge. And this is important to do on every piece that goes on this wheel. All I'm doing, trying to get all this clay to come up to the top, like that. And I'm saving all my slip here, you see, that's all slip. And I'd rather throw that than water, or do anything with it. Wheel wedge, center. You need a little water, just tap your fingers in there. No need to drag a whole bunch of water onto this. Come down, clean up the bottom, there. Slop bucket. Alright, now you can see, by wheel wedging it, your compressing it down, we've also centered our piece. Now we're ready to start boring a hole in the top of it, drawing up the walls."
