"So one of the ways you can start the butterfly coil after having your couple arm lengths of rope out to the side. This is just by doing it in your hand. You take it, you fold it over one side, you take it again, and you fold it over on the other side. And you continue to do this for the entire length of the rope. But, usually after a day of doing anything that involves my rope, I find it very tiring to hold this, especially after the entire thing. Maybe I'm wimp, but that's just me. Another way of doing it is over your neck. Just make sure to keep track of what side is what. When you're switching like this. Anyway, so you take this, and just take it over your neck. And take it around this way. And you continue that way until it's done. One more way involves getting on the floor. And the way you do this is by sticking these through your knees. But you really need to start this way if you're going to do it at all. Then you just take this. Take the end of the rope and just continue wrapping it around like this. And that's how to start your butterfly coil."
