"Just like the overhand stopper knot, the fisherman's knot has similar variations. There is the single fisherman's knot, the double, and there is also the triple fisherman's knot. Right now I am going to demonstrate the double fisherman's knot. Anyway, to start you start just like you did in the single. The two ropes end to end overlapping like so. And then you start by taking one end of the rope and crossing it over and wrapping around once. This would be for your single fisherman's knot and twice for your double. Then you pull through. When you tie these knots you want to make sure that this end is always going away from where the knots are going to butt up against each other. So, here is the other side, crossing over, go around once. Give myself some space. Once, twice, and then you go through. And then you just pull it together. If you were to tie the triple you would of course just wrap the rope around one more time before passing the end through."
