"For this next method at tying the square knot I'm going to use these two strings that I got in the Boy Scouts that I got when I was learning how to tie knots. As you can see they're different colors, and this helps us keep the different ropes apart through the tying process. You start, to tie the square knot, you start with one rope and a loop, and another one in a loop as well, and you lay them on top of each other. So the same concept still applies with the over and under, just like the overhand knot, you start, you pinch these together, and you pull them through this way. And then you notice these are on top, and you take them and pull them through this way. This is really good because you can really see the structure of the square knot and how it actually works, and what you're actually tying when you do the right over left, and the left over right method."
