"Now I'll place our bird in the cage and we'll close up the cage. You just put plenty of the craft glue on the bottom of the birds body there where we did not put any beads and we'll place him on the swing like this. He's fairly balanced already so he's going to sit right there and when the glue dries we'll be sure he won't fall off. Now, to close the cage so that it won't come apart we'll make some little hinges with pipe cleaners. To do it, if you bend your pipe cleaner like this into a hook then you can push it through and have it come right around. That works really nicely. Then pull it out and twist it and you can cut off the excess and then we'll do the other side. In the back I'm putting two little pipe cleaner hinges here. Don't twist them on too tightly because you want to be able to open your cage like this, so you don't want to twist them on too tightly. Then, we'll take a scissor and just cut off the excess. In the front, all you need is one little hinge. Again, you make a hook like this and you can, you put your hook through the holes in the basket and when you turn it it comes right out, it makes it nice. Here you want to twist it very lightly so that a child could untwist it to open the basket if they want. So, here's our little bird in the cage and you see the swing will go back and forth like that. This is a great project for children. Here's his buddy, we'll put him on the outside of the cage. You can also let a child decorate the cage a bit with glue and some extra glitter and stars whatever you have to make that cage beautiful with your beautiful paradise bird inside."
