So now our next step is after we do all the flossing, is to make sure that we didn't miss anything. This is kind of like the triple quadruple kind of check thing to make sure everything is cleared up and this is the time when you ask the patient, if you are having any problems, any toothaches, or anything else like that. So you can get an x ray taken and have like the Dentist come in and take a look at everything. So you use a mouth mirror and open your mouth sir. And then you just look all the way around, up and down. You ask him if he is having any problems, ok. And then if you notice anything like a dark spot or any kind of looseness on the teeth, this is the time where you notice it and you tell the Doctor, you know what I think we need to get an x ray on this tooth because it looks a little suspicious. Another thing you is you check out the gums, are the gums ok, are they a nice little pink color, are they puffy are they purple, pink is good, purple is bad. Then also you can bring that up to the doctor and just let them know, you know hey this person's got a little purpleness on this one part of the tooth maybe you should take a look at it. That way he can get everything prepared and then just another quick double check make sure you get any excess calculus or tarter off there if you need to scrape.
