"So our next step of course is we have to get the right materials and instruments in place before we get the patient here. Now a few things we're going to need obviously are gloves, dental floss, this is called a prophy paste and what it does is it goes with this, which is a hand speed scaler. And what you do is you put the paste on there for the patient. You also need a mouth mirror and then a scaler. You need a bib. And what these things are called are alligator clips just to hold the bib in place. And then on top of that you also need a suction. It goes in the patients mouth and it can suck up any excess water that we might accumulate. What happens also is an air water syringe. This thing, this is pretty much the bread and butter because what you need to do is the blue part is for water, the yellow part is for air and it rinses the persons mouth and then they suction up right afterwards. So as long as you have all these in place, get everything ready. And it has to go in between every patient. So before the patient comes in you have the tray set up. It's all sterile. It's all been wiped down. And then you just sit here and you wait. Another thing that people need to get a lot is a mask mirror. Now I'm not going to be wearing this but a lot of times you're going to have to wear this because it prevents excess debris to come out for like when you're doing the chrome and polish thing. It protects you. So let's get started. And what we're going to do is get our patient in here next because obviously we can't do anything without a patient."
