"All right, so in this clip we're going to show you how to properly box out while anticipating a free throw shot. Okay, so Brian is on offense with me, on my team. Brian R, A, is on defense. So his whole purpose is to box this person out for getting the rebound. So he's going to step inside the paint, play him on his hip, and create a force field between him and hopefully the missed shot. Okay. This greatens the chance, or heightens the chance or percentage for Brian to get the rebound off the missed free throw, okay. We're going to walk you through it. So what just happened there was I missed the shot, Brian the defender steps in front of him to box him out, which creates or stops the path for him to get an easy rebound. Boxing out is when you get low, get your stance, and put the defender on your back for the rebound."
