"Now I'm going to show you what items you will need to make your own custom lamp shade, aside from the obvious lampshade. Let's talk about what we've got here. You're going to need some fabric or wallpaper. This is going to be the material that actually goes around the lampshade. You're going to want to make sure you have enough, it might not be a bad idea to take the lampshade into the fabric store just to make sure you get enough at that point. You can get these at any fabric store. Once again, you can get the wall paper on online auction sites. You can get some really beautiful ones old vintages ones that work really beautifully for this project. Also, another great idea for instant coordination in a bedroom is to go and buy one of those beds in a bag. What they do is they usually have several different kinds of fabric that coordinate beautifully. You use the douvet and the pillow shams on the bed and maybe you use the sheets for the project on the lampshades. It really adds a lot of punch and gives it a very custom designer look. Now, if you want to add some bells and whistles we've also got some trim down here. We've got a little ball fringe, we've got some silk rope, and a little bit of fringe here. Now these items can be pretty expensive if you go to your local fabric store. However, you are not using a lot so it's not going to cost a lot so feel free to go to the more high-end end of the store and look at all those beautiful fringes because, like I said, you're not using a lot so it's not going to cost a lot. Over here you're going to need a glue gun, we've also got some glue sticks, a pin, some scissors, a little spray adhesive, and some craft paper to make your pattern. A great deal of these items are items that most people have laying around the house. So hopefully this project is not going to cost you a whole lot of money."
